Our tribute is complete !

I have been working on the frame and lightbox for Jim. He gave us the glass from a pinball machine. He use to make these at a place he worked & thought it would look good in our restaurant.So i decide since he plays for us so often , i would dedicate it to him.With help from Jerry , our lettering & lighting guy its all complete. It now hangs in Shemp's for all to see !

Belated

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year ! Our restaurant has been keeping us real busy and the cold is keeping us near the fire. If you get a chance we are now on facebook at Shemps Cafe, check us out !Sorry no pictures this time but i promise some good ones soon. I have been working on some projects too . Jim Petry is playing guitar and some good classic rock on Saturday the 11th at Shemp's Cafe !!!

I got Katie a personalized sign for the restaurant for Christmas. I think it fits perfectly!

The words out !

Our local county newspaper called us and wanted to do an interview with us. We gladly excepted ! Now we are in the newspaper again for our new restaurant and the story behind it. Our lives have really become exciting being celebrities here in West Virginia !

63 is ok with me !

We came home from running errands and i sat outside for a bit. Here it is 3 weeks from Christmas and it's 63 degrees out. Not that i'm complaining but, it's a good way to get sick! So i look around to see the animals were all feeling that way too. I had to get the camera for this kodak moment. Oh yeh and if you haven't been to "SHEMPS" yet , you need to come out Friday night  at 6:00pm to see " Jim Petry".

Big Surprise !!!

I came home early from the restaurant on Sunday, to rest for opening day of buck. I'm sitting at the table having some pizza Katie made for me for lunch. I look out and see extra legs on my one cow. So i got a better view with my binoculars and what a shock i got. There was a calf standing next to it's mom, that i thought wasn't due till March. It's like i was meant to be home to help him into the barn and on the teat. We named him Chilly after our favorite 6 year old customer suggested we call him.So in a way Ryan , he's your calf buddy. Chilly is very healthy and jumping around in the barn. I got some pics !

Dee and the Jeep party !

Our newest addition to the farm is "Dee" , she is a bred heifer. How i came up with her name is because her ear tag # is 3. First thing that number reminds me of is Dale Earnhart , initials D.E. or Dee ! She is half black angus , half herford and is called a " White face", in the pics you will see why. I sold " Buckey and Stormy" and bought "Dee" to expand the herd. So now it's " Dee and Momma" both bred and expecting in the spring. I have been working in my spare time fixing up the "55 Willys" , new shocks,side mirrors,gas tank neck,tune-up,carb rebuildand and new pair of sneakers! She's running pretty good , i just need to get some kinks out and she'll be just fine. So you will see in the pic the "51" , "55" and "93" were having alittle get together! At Shemp's today Katie, Gerry and i worked on the booths and put legs on yet another new table. We only kept a few small tables for one or two and the rest are larger for comfort.We got some snow the other night too !
