2 nights in a row !
I tried to post earlier and Katie unplugged the wrong cord on the generator ! I thought i lost my story to nights in a row then i found the drafts. So i posted them both so you can see what i did write and pictures too !
In the past few days...
Since i wrote to you last , well i tried to last night and just as i got done writing, the generator ran out of gas. I did'nt have the energy to type again , so here goes in short. Thursday , Katie , Orvil and i put the other side of the tin on. Marlyn made us all a nice lunch so Katie could get a break from cooking too ! I drywalled the kitchen and dining room, Katie sanded and spackled. She has been really busting butt lately, she can feel the winter coming too! Frank from Grogg's came out to fire our new furnace. The furnace fired up after the air was pushed thru the gas line . It was the first time it was turned on since i installed it.No leaks in any of the lines and the furnace was quite. We went upstairs and it felt comfortable all over the house. I think were gonna like the new system. Then we did more drywall and spakling.I have no outside pictures yet because it was to warm inside to go out , lol. Thanks to everyone involved , including our followers that make this site possible !!! Were on facebook now too , i hope to get a chance to talk to my friends.
Rainy days ....
Its been raining here for the last 3 days and i have no pictures. We did get the other half of the tin on with the help of Katie , Orvil and Maryln ! Orvil came down early and up on the roof we went , yep even Katie ! Orvil had the great idea of using a c- clamp and block of wood . By tieing a rope to the clamp , i pull up from the roof and they pushed up from the ground. These sheets are 3' x 20' long and aukward . We all worked really hard and it was near lunchtime, i was getting hungry. Here comes Marlyn with lunch for us . She knew Katie was helping with the roof and wanted to make life easy for her. We are so blessed ! I put up more drywall today and Katie taped and spackled . Tommorrow they come back to fire the furnace. It's been lows of 42 the last two days and we've been using the woodstove ! The insulation is working well cause it was toasty . It should be dry tommorrow and i will take some pictures. I just want to take a minute to thank all our followers ! Because of your interest , i now have a reason to log all this . What a ride this has been and still is . We still don't know when were getting electric, we will use the generator to fire the furnace tommorrow. By the way , Katie still makes great meals with half of a kitchen ! For the record , she really kicked butt on the roof ! We could have never done all that we have without your help , "Thank you so much" !!!

Sunday we started the tin !
All our friends that helped with the trusses came down to help us with the tin. Before we could put the tin on we had to screw the runners on. We love the way it looks. We plan to paint the outside of the containers next spring , a dark green ! I included a picture of the stove hood i mounted last week. I'm a bit hung over from Sunday nite , i did'nt do much today.

Odds & Ends ...
It's been raining , so weve been working inside. I drywalled most of the laundry room , Katie did the spacking. We hung the range hood for the kitchen stove. I ran the intake & exhaust pipes for the tankless hot water system. Katie & I ran the gas lines to the clothes dryer , cooking stove and furnace. We also spread wood chips on the ground around because its so muddy.Katie ran the loader for the first time scooping up the chips , i know she was having fun by the smile on her face. We got the chips from Asplund , who cleared the trees for the electric co. to run the poles . You don't miss something important till its gone.I also cut the holes in the floor for the vents for the heat.By doing that we saved a day labor from the heating company. Which is Grogg's out of Parkersburg , Tom, Gregg and the two installers , Mike & Dustin . Thanks guys your doing an awesome job for us !!!
